How it works/H2H leagues
Head-to-head leagues, not an afterthought
Most FPL mini-league tools quietly handle classic leagues only — paste an H2H league and you get an error, or worse, numbers that don't mean anything. Rival Radar reads both.
Why H2H usually breaks tools
Classic and head-to-head mini-leagues look similar from the outside and behave completely differently underneath. A classic league ranks managers on cumulative points. An H2H league runs weekly fixtures and ranks on match results — three points for a win, one for a draw — with total points only used to separate ties.
A tool that assumes the classic shape will happily read an H2H league and report on the wrong number entirely: sorting your league by a field that isn't what the standings are actually based on. It won't error. It'll just be wrong, all season.
Rival Radar detects which kind of league it's looking at and reads the correct standings for that type. Your H2H leagues sit on the same dashboard as your classic ones, and you don't have to tell it which is which.
What you get on an H2H league
- Correct standings — ranked the way your league is actually ranked, not by a number that happens to be nearby.
- The weekly Shame Board — benched hauls, bottled captains, wasted chips and panic transfers work exactly the same, because those are squad decisions and squads are squads.
- Sharing — every roast exports for the group chat, same as classic.
Roasting an H2H league is different
In a classic league nobody beats anybody — managers outscore each other, and the language has to say so. In an H2H league there are genuine wins, draws and losses, and the banter is sharper for it: losing a fixture by two points because you benched a returning defender is a specific, nameable failure in a way that a classic league can never quite produce.
Rival Radar keeps those two vocabularies separate. You won't get "you lost three gameweeks" on a classic league, and you won't get mushy points-difference language on a league where you actually lost a match.
Both league types, one dashboard
Most people are in a mix — a classic work league, an H2H one with mates, maybe a family league. Paste your team ID once and all of them appear together, each with its own roasts and its own rivalry.
About H2H support
Do I have to tell it my league is H2H?
No. Rival Radar works out which type each of your leagues is and reads it accordingly.
Does the Shame Board work the same way?
Yes. Bench waste, captaincy disasters, wasted chips and transfer regret are all squad decisions, so they apply identically to both league types.
Is H2H support a Pro feature?
No. Your H2H leagues appear on the free dashboard with free Shame Boards, exactly like classic leagues.
What about draft leagues?
FPL Draft is a separate game with its own rules and its own API. It isn't supported yet.
Bring the league your other tool refused to read.
